Sky in euphoria is about looking upward and keeping a positive
outlook on life, influenced by bands like Converge,Shai hulud,Living sacrifice,
Zao,hopesfall,Deftones,strongarm,stretch arm strong and hatebreed. Sky
in euphoria has set itself up for a challenge to make heavy heartfelt
music, music inspired upon a moment of reflection and gratefulness. The
songs crafted to be expressed in an almost story like manner, is a challenge
as the band hardly writes in a verse/chorus formula. Based on passion,
faith,hope and victory, the band consisting of Jerome(vox), Jon Hems(bass)
,Daren(drums) and Symon(guitars), wages in warfare against their fears.
Sky in euphoria was formed in January 2003, by Jerome(vox,guitar),Daren(drums),Chris(bass)
and Isacc(guitars). Later Chris and Isacc left the band as Jerome and
Daren wanted to play harder
songs,which they were soon replaced by Symon(guitar) formerly of BLYSS
and Gerald(bass)ONE AUTHORITY. The band did their first gig in June, which
was organised by Jerome at the Third place, and since then Sky in euphoria
was totally convicted that they should be serious about what they do and
keep focus. As the band progressively got heavier Gerald left the band,
and was
soon replaced by long time friend Jon hems;GLORIA. Eversince the chemistry
has never been better, and the band are pressing onwards with much purpose,
having played gigs at SONIC FEST
2003,THIRDPLACE,ELEMENTS and FAR EAST PLAZA, the band are writing and
practicing hard to play more gigs and approach heavy music with a different
perspective.
